چکیده
In maize, doubled haploid (DH) technology is used in breeding programs to obtain lines, the primary input for developing new cultivars. This review aims present main points related using this steps its application, and advantages implications of DH lines maize programs.

Development of yellow rust resistant doubled haploid lines of wheat through wheat ´ maize Crosses
In order to produce doubled haploid lines of bread wheat resistant to strip or yellow rust, three F1 wheat hybrids were crossed using pollens of three maize hybrids. Out of 1071 pollinated florets, success in seed set ranged from 63.1% to 93.3% (mean 78%). Differences in seed set among the crosses were not significant. Embryo formation in the seeds developed on different crosses also varied fro...
متن کاملMBP (version 1.0): a software package to optimize maize breeding procedures based on doubled haploid lines.
We developed MBP (version 1.0), a software package for optimizing maize (Zea mays L.) breeding procedures based on doubled haploid lines. This software accounts for both recurrent selection and the development of hybrid parent lines. Based on quantitative genetic model calculations, MBP (version 1.0) maximizes the expected genetic gain per year as a function of various genetic parameters and op...
متن کاملInvestigation of Qualitative Traits and Genes Expression Involved in Bakery Quality for Some of the Bread’s Wheat Doubled Haploid Lines
Bread’s quality depends on wheat flours quality and quantity and for the goal to be achieved, the usage of suitable wheat varieties should be considered. Present study focuses on analyzing doubled-haploid lines of wheat’s bread backing quality and the relationship between qualitative traits and glutenins reservoir proteins. In current work, traits related to bread backing quality of 30 doubled-...
متن کاملNovel technologies in doubled haploid line development
haploid inducer line can be transferred (DH) technology can not only shorten the breeding process but also increase genetic gain. Haploid induction and subsequent genome doubling are the two main steps required for DH technology. Haploids have been generated through the culture of immature male and female gametophytes, and through inter- and intraspecific via chromosome elimination. Here, we fo...
